Michaela Di Cesare is a playwright and performer with a Master’s Degree in Drama from the University of Toronto. Michaela’s solo show 8 Ways my Mother was Conceived toured extensively for 5 years. Michaela wrote and performed in In Search of Mrs. Pirandello (2016 WildSide Festival Centaur Theatre) followed by the world premiere of Successions (Centaur Theatre, Outstanding New Text, METAs 2018). Her play FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) toured high schools with Geordie Productions in 2019/2020 (Outstanding New Text Nomination, METAs 2020). Her play Extra/Beautiful/U premiered at Centaur Theatre in December 2023 (Infinitheatre). Up next, her play Hot Blooded Foreigner withTableau D’Hôte Theatre. 
As an actor, theatre credits include Winter’s Daughter (Tableau D’Hôte Theatre / Segal Studio), A Bear Awake in Winter (Next Stage Theatre Festival/Factory Theatre), Gratitude (Oren Safdie/MainLine Theatre), Birds of a Feather (Roseneath Theatre), Urban Tales (Centaur Theatre/Urbi et Orbi), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Humber River Shakespeare) and State of Denial (Teesri Duniya Theatre). Selected Film & TV credits include NBC’S Transplant, No Good Deed, Mafia INC, The Engagement, The Bold Type.

Matteo Cremon
is an Italian actor who graduated from the Teatro Stabile di Genoa in 2005. He is extensively trained in buffoon and classical theatre. His theatrical debut was in "Arbeit macht frei" directed by Toni Servillo. Film credits include Redemption directed by Maria Martinelli (Toronto Arthouse Film Festival selection 2023), as well as several Italian television productions. Matteo is also interested in devised theatre and carrying out research into acting theory. His area of study has been focused on popular theatre that uses both traditional theatrical language and multimedia tools.

Daniele Bartolini is a director, author, immersive and multidisciplinary artist and curator born in Florence, Italy and based in Toronto, Canada. He produces work internationally. His work has been defined as “an especially intriguing investigation” by the New York Times and “the theatre of the future” by Italian magazine Paneaquaculture at Premio Rete Critica.

His creations have been presented and produced by La Biennale di Venezia, Canada’s National Arts Centre Creation Fund, The Goethe Institute and Italian Institute of Culture of Bucharest, Khoj International Artists Association in New Delhi, Thespo Festival in Mumbai, Canadian Embassy in Rome and the Italian Embassy in Ottawa, Canadian Stage, Soulpepper, and TO Live amongst many more. Daniele has been nominated for Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Production at the Dora Awards for his project The Stranger and for Outstanding Ensemble for If on a Christmas Night.  Daniele is the Artistic Director of DopoLavoro Teatrale (DLT), a company known for city-spanning experiences. In 2024 he directed As I Must Live It by Luke Reece and The Observer Effect by Nehal El-Hadi. In June 2025 he will present Dante’s Inferno at the Stratford Festival. He is the author and director of the project Still Novo co-produced with Teatro Metastasio and presented at the 76th Ciclo dei Classici del Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza. Daniele works in English, Italian and French. 
Daniele is very excited for this collaboration with Theatre Ouest End and Michaela di Cesare for her play Mickey and Joe, presented in partnership with the Italian-Canadian Community Foundation.

​Ava Bishop
(she/her) is an Equity Stage Manager based in Montréal. She is eager to work on 
engaging and innovative theatre pieces throughout Canada, and is proud to be a part of the rich Montréal theatre scene. She is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada’s Production Design and Technical Arts program.

​Shopdogs
was founded in 2019 and has since built sets and provided management support for Black Theatre Workshop, Centaur Theatre, Geordie Theatre, Infinitheatre, Just for Laughs, Mammalian Diving Reflex, The National Theatre School of Canada, New Light Theatre Project, Scapegoat Carnivale, The Segal Centre for the Performing Arts, Tableau D'Hote Theatre, Tantalus Theatre, Talisman Theatre, Teesri Duniya Theatre, Theatre Ouest End, Les Jeunesses Musicales du Canada and others. Shopdogs Inc. provides professional solutions for film, live events, and theatre. They have proudly served designers, art directors, and technical teams in the Montréal community and beyond since 2019. 



Davide Chiazzese is a Montreal-based actor and filmmaker. He was introduced to the performing arts through his father’s involvement with the Trinacria Association and grew up immersed in Sicilian theatre, music, and dance — performing many times on the Mirella and Lino Saputo stage. As a video designer, Davide draws on cinematic practices, using found footage, visual art, and film references to create layered, evocative projections that deepen storytelling. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Film Production at Concordia University and recently completed his third short film. This marks his third collaboration with playwright Michaela Di Cesare, having previously performed in In Search of Mrs. Pirandello (Wildside Festival, 2016) and Successions (Centaur Theatre, 2018). Notable acting credits include Wildfire (Talisman Theatre, 2023 – META Award for Outstanding Ensemble) and Hosanna (Centaur/Tableau D’Hôte Theatre – META Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance). He will next appear in CLUE at the Segal Centre.

Sabrina Miller is a set, costume, and puppet designer based on Tiohtià:ke/Montréal land, and a member of APASQ (Association Des Professionnels Des Arts De La Scène Du Québec) and an Associate Member of ADC (Associated Designers of Canada). Their award winning work has been showcased across Canada, and they have designed for most of the English theatre companies in Montreal including the Segal Centre, Geordie Theatre, Black Theatre Workshop, Repercussion Theatre, Infinithéâtre, Hudson Theatre and Teesri Duniya Theatre.

Assistant Professor in Sound Design and Electroacoustics at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada), Andrea Gozzi is a member of Tempo Reale (Florence), CIRMMT, OICRM, CRIHN, and BRAMS, and co-researcher at the LF • O Lab (University of Montreal). He co-founded Mezzo Forte (France), a company focused on augmented sound reality. He previously taught sound design and popular music at the University of Florence and LABA (Florence). As a composer and musician, he has collaborated with Italian and international artists, performing in events such as Live 8 (2005) and touring in France, Germany, England, and Canada. As a sound designer, he has developed projects for theater, museums, and multimedia books. He is the author of essays and books on rock history and musical biographies, published in Italy and Canada.

Sarah Mansikka is thrilled to be back in Montreal and working with Theatre Ouest End. Sarah holds a BFA in Design for the Theatre from Concordia University. She has been working as a professional lighting designer and lighting director throughout Canada and Europe for over 20 years. Some of Sarah's recent design credits include Le Concierge (The Caretaker), As I Must Live It, and as the assistant lighting designer for The Canadian Opera Company. Sarah is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada (ADC) and is thrilled to be part of this exciting new work!

Cara Rebecca is a queer artist and administrator whose creative practice spans acting, movement, fight & intimacy direction, and teaching. Recent fight and intimacy credits: Keffiyeh/ Made in China (Teesri), Trident Moon (Crows/NAC), Sakura (Centaur), POTUS (Segal), and The Flood (Imago). Select Acting Credits: Still Life, Antioch (Talisman); The Importance of Being Earnest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (St Lawrence); Fall On Your Knees (CanStage/Neptune/NAC/Grand); Cowgirl Up (ATP). Cara also cofounded the Ragtag Collective. Training: NTS (Acting & Movement for Actors Apprenticeship), Academy of Dramatic Combat, CGDC Mentorship, and McGill.

Cassandra Marsillo is a public historian, artist, and writer, based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal), telling and listening to stories about immigration, identity, collective memory, food, and folklore, particularly in relation to the Italian-Canadian experience and traditions from her family's region, Molise. In September, she will start her PhD at Concordia University in the Department of History, working on Italian-Canadian food history in Québec.

Cassandra is also one of out guest experts for the panel discussion being held after the matinee performance on Saturday May 24th. Ticket holders for any performance in the run will be welcome to attend the panel after the show.

Ann Lambert she/her (dramaturg/co-artistic director) has written over 30 plays for the stage and radio, many of which have been critically acclaimed and produced in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia. She is the former head of playwriting at The National Theatre School of Canada.

Ann is also the author of the Russell and Leduc mystery series, The Birds That Stay, The Dogs of Winter and Whale Fall, finalists for the Concordia Best First Book Prize, the Canadian Crime Writers Award of Excellence, and winner of an Audiophile award. All three books were released as audiobooks narrated by Ann herself. Her new book, featuring a brand new detective, will be released in 2026.

Ann is also the vice-president of The Theresa Foundation, dedicated to supporting children and their grandmothers, the education of Malawian girls, and alleviating food insecurity in several villages in Malawi. https://www.theresafoundation.com/

​Laura Mitchell
, co-founder of TOE, taught Literature at Dawson College where she founded and directed the Showtime Troupe in 20 plays. As half of the comedy duo ‘TITTERS’, she performed in Vancouver Comedy Festival, Seattle, Ottawa, and in and around Montreal. Laura performed as a storyteller for Blue Met, and as a southern evangelist for Theatre des Ameriques. She has written 1 feature film (7th Art), 1 documentary, (NFB , Pandora), 3 plays, 2 play adaptations, and is currently working on a collection of short shorties. She continues to act on stage and in film and TV.
