Judith Thompson is a widely recognized playwright, director, screenwriter, actor and artistic director/producer, with work that has garnered national and international awards and has been widely studied and praised by critics throughout her career.

She wrote two feature films, Lost and Delirious, Perfect Pie; there is a Polish film of her play I Am Yours, as well. She wrote two television movies, Turning to Stone, and Life with Billy; radio plays: Tornado, ( awarded the Nellie) A Big White Light, (the Prix Italia for radio plays) Quickening, A Kissing Way, Sugarcane, and The Gliding. Rahul Varma - Dhara's Revenge

Born in India, Rahul is a playwright and artistic director of Teesri Duniya Theatre www.teesriduniyatheatre.com, which he co-founded in 1981. In 1998, with Kapil Bawa, he co-founded the theatre quarterly alt.theatre: cultural diversity and the stage where many of his articles have appeared. He writes both in Hindi and English, a language he acquired as an adult. His recent plays are Land Where the Trees Talk, No Man’s Land, Trading Injuries (radio drama), Counter Offence, Bhopal, Truth and Treason, and State of Denial. Unproduced new works include My Father Would Have Killed Me (2020), Dad’s New Wife (2019), and Merchant of God (in-progress). His plays have been translated into French, Italian, Hindi, and Punjabi. Rahul received a Lifetime Honorary Membership Award from the Canadian Association for Theatre Research (2020) and the METAs’ (Montreal English Theatre Awards) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award (2018). He is a recipient of the Special Juror’s Award from the Quebec Drama Federation, the award for promoting interculturalism by Montreal English Critic’s Circle, and the South Asian Theatre Festival Award 2012.

Kent Stetson - Perry and the Fairy

Prince Edward Island native, Montreal resident Kent Stetson’s first work for the stage, the tragedy Warm Wind in China, addressed the personal and social horrors of AIDS. Subsequent two act plays such as Queen of the Cadillac, Just Plain Murder and Caledonia display his wide stylistic range, including comedy, tragedy, music theatre and drama.
The epic survival tragedy for fifteen men in three acts, The Harps of God, earned Stetson international recognition and the Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama. Mr. Stetson was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2007.
Kent has written two novels including the critically acclaimed The World Above the Sky and the human trafficking police procedural murder mystery Meat Cove. Trained in television drama by the British Broadcasting Corporation, Kent worked extensively as a film and television drama director. A late career development currently sees Kent co-creating huge multi-media spectacles, most recently in Canada and France. Kent is delighted to work with Theatre Ouest End. The opportunity to create an intense theatrical miniature, Perry and The Fairy, has opened new perspectives and possibilities.

Debra Kirshenbaum - Actor and Writer of The Last Relay

Born and bred in Montreal, Debra worked many years in Toronto and across much of this beautiful country. Some favourites include playing Dromio in Comedy of Errors at Centaur Theatre in Montreal and National Arts Center in Ottawa. Zach Fraser - Perry and the Fairy and Okay Boomer

Zach is a Montreal-based director, producer, actor, puppeteer, puppet maker, teacher, and the newly appointed artistic director of Infinithéâtre. Directing credits include The Sighlence of Sky, Omi Mouna, and King of Canada (Infinithéâtre), Indra’s Web (NTS) and Fifteen Dogs (John Abbott College). The Water Chronicles, which he directed for Geordie Theatre, won the 2020 META for Outstanding PACT Production. His award-winning Louis Riel: A Comic-Strip Stage Play (RustWerk ReFinery) based on Chester Brown’s graphic novel continues to tour occasionally across the country. Murdoch Schon - Queen Maeve and The Last Relay

Murdoch Schon is a nonbinary director and digital darling. Born and raised in Treaty One Territory (Winnipeg), they have been involved in the Tiohtià:ke (Montreal) English theatre scene for almost a decade. Murdoch is fascinated by provocation, vulnerability, and the role of risk and failure in art-making. They believe that theatre rises to its true power through the practices of ritual liminality, community and imagination. In recent years they've grown to love experimenting with digital work and new modes of theatrical experiences. Murdoch is also the founder of Revolution They Wrote a short works feminist performance festival.
Murdoch is a graduate of the Nation Theatre School Directing Program and has a BFA, Specialization in Theatre and Development, from Concordia University.

Lib Spry - Mellow Elders and Dhara's Revenge

Lib Spry has been a theatre maker for over 50 years as a director, writer, producer, educator,
performer, popular theatre worker and translator. She is a specialist in non-traditional theatre forms: popular theatre, community theatre, site-specific theatre, theatre for young audiences, clown, bouffon, commedia dell’ arte, and is a recognized teacher of Theatre of the Oppressed. She founded and ran three theatre companies: Theatre Agile (2011- present), Passionate Balance (1989-96) and with Shirley Barrie co-founded the award-winning Straight Stitching Productions (1986-96). She worked with Odyssey Theatre as the writer and/or translator on Turandot, The Miser, The Raven, and Bungsu and the Big Snake. Recent work includes: director of the Theatre Kingston production of Daniel David Moses’Almighty Voice and His Wife; director and dramaturge and co-creator of Ambigüité with Ottawa artist Guy Marsan; directing Anusree Roy’s Letters to My Grandma for Teesri Duniya Theatre; writing and performing Trance For Matron – her solo show for old woman, objects, memories, desires, anger and walker; devising and directing a vaudeville entitled We Are Old! We are Wonderful! with RECAA (an organization for seniors dedicated to using theatre to educate communities to recognize the mistreatment and abuse of seniors); directing Teesri Duniya’s production of Where the Blood Mixes by Kevin Loring. She has recently finished a PhD in Cultural Studies at Queens University -Unsettling Settlers’ Colonial Privilege Through Performance: Movement, Sound, Participation, Play, Laughter and now has a post doctoral fellowship with Nadia Myre at Concordia University.

Marcel Jeannin - The Last Relay and Mellow Elders

Marcel has performed in theatres across Canada, the United States and France, and is a past member of both the Stratford Festival and National Arts Centre acting companies. Past Montreal theatre credits include Paradise Lost, Art, God of Carnage and The Seagull. Film credits include Crisis, Taking Lives, Wicker Park, Affliction, and a very skinny Greek soldier in 300. Television credits include upcoming miniseries Three Pines, Ghosts, Transplant, Barkskins and Insomnia. He lends his voice to numerous cartoons, including Arthur, The New Adventures of Lucky Luke, and Mona the Vampire. A sought-after workshop participant, he has assisted in the development of over 100 plays for the N.A.C., Theatre New Brunswick, Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal. Ellen David - The Last Relay and Okay Boomer

An accomplished and versatile stage and screen actor, Ellen has received multiple nominations and accolades including a META, Winnipeg Theatre Award, and Broadway World Regional Award for My Name is Asher Lev (Segal Center/RMTC); “Outstanding Female Performance” ACTRA award for the film Surviving My Mother; and the 2015 ACTRA Award of Excellence. Stage highlights: Seeds (Porte Parole’s US Tour), The Shoplifters, God of Carnage, Marjorie Prime and Travesties. Directing credits include Four Anglos Surviving the Covid Apocalypse at Centre St. Jax, Victoria Hall and Theatre Lac-Brome; Clybourne Park, The Book of Bob, Love, Loss and What I Wore, which she also co-produced and performed in (all at Centaur Theatre); Moonlight and Magnolias, Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, and Intimate Exchanges (Theatre Lac-Brome); The Savannah Sipping Society (Hudson Village Theatre); and the Quebec English language premieres of Mazel Tov and The Leisure Society for Infinithéâtre. Victoria Barkoff has inhabited a wide range of roles, from mothers to murderers. Recent theatre work includes Night of 4 to 5 (Talisman Theatre, viewable online May 12-29, 2022) and A Doll’s House, Part 2 (Segal Centre). She was also seen last year as Doris, the loveable cat lady, in the TV series The Republic of Sarah. She was delighted to be invited by Theatre Ouest End to perform in a piece written by her good friend, Jane Gilchrist. When not acting, Victoria freelances as a translator and editor.

Brian Dooley - Perry and the Fairy

Brian Dooley is an award winning actor and producer. During the last 40 years Brian has worked throughout the country and abroad. His skills include directing, writing, producing and performing in a variety of media including radio, animation, film, television and the theatre. Brian was trained and educated at the National Theatre School and Bishop’s University. His most recent posts include Artistic Director of L’Unitheatre, Alberta’s only professional francophone theatre and Director of Play Development at The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton. Having relocated back to Montreal after a lengthy absence, Brian is delighted to be currently working with the talented folks at Theatre Ouest End on this unique and intimate project. In the midst of these most unprecedented times, Brian is reminded of Richard Shechner’s words : "Theatre is a peak experience and significantly different from other kinds of life because of its focus, intensity, and general visibility. But it is not separate from other kinds of life: It comes from them and blends back into them. To work from this perspective means to accept the audience as a potential ally, and to admit that without the audience's collaboration no performance is possible.

Beatrice majored in film production, graduating with a bachelor in fine arts with distinction from Concordia University in Montreal. As Beanduck’s main producer, her focus is always to create the highest production value in the company’s work in the most efficient way possible. With a long history in performance both on stage as well as on a piano bench, Beatrice has always felt immense pride in entertaining audiences, a feeling she carries with her every day at Beanduck Productions.

Julian Stamboulieh - Artistic & Executive Director

Director and actor with a BFA in Photography, Julian approaches projects with a playful yet critical eye. He values the audience first and foremost, always striving to provide them an experience that’s fun and original, as well as intelligent and respectful. Growing up as a “Sega boy”, he is as passionate about gaming today as he was when he stayed up past his bedtime playing Sonic.

Linda Babins - Lighting

Linda splits her time between designing lighting (pre-Covid shows include Cote Saint Luc Dramatic Society’s: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat remount at the Segal Centre, Cabaret and Little Shop of Horrors at the Greenspon Auditorium and Thespis, Mikado and Ruddigore for Lakeshore Light Opera) and coaching competitive swimmers at the Cote Saint Luc Aquatic Centre. Linda has designed lighting for theatre, opera and dance all across Canada. Some memorable highlights include: Memoir at Theatre Calgary, Into the Woods for Red Deer College, Misalliance for Regina's Globe Theatre and The Word is Love for the Stephenville Festival, Nfld. When living in Western Canada, Linda designed for Alberta Ballet, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and Calgary Opera. Linda was a faculty lighting designer at the Banff Centre, working with their Opera, Dance and Aboriginal Arts programs from 1995-2000.

Gabbie McGuire is passionate about makeup artistry since she started telling all her friends and family that she wanted to be a makeup artist at age 13. She left the city of Ottawa, where she grew up to pursue her education in Montréal. She attended the Edith Serei Academy from which she graduated in 2013. She then pursued a hair styling diploma from Academie Pure Couleur in 2016.
Gabbie is constantly looking to enrich her portfolio through creative projects and collaborations. One of her biggest dreams is to be able to work outside of Canada. Traveling is, for her an opportunity to add to her experiences and bring a new perspective to her work.

Amrita Choudhory - Choreographer for Dhara's Revenge

Amrita brings more than 30 years of international experience in performance, choreography, & teaching. She specializes in Odissi classical, folk, Rajasthani, Bengali tribal, Modern Indian (Uday Shankar style) & Bollywood dance. Amrita graduated from Santiniketan, a school in India, founded by the Nobel prize winning poet Tagore; a school that concentrates on the arts and it's relation to nature. Amrita has worked with various Indigenous, European, & North American dance & music artists, to create bridges between artistic expressions and choreography. She has collaborated with artistic and cultural organizations like Les Grands Ballet Canadiens, TED talks, & The Banff Centre for the Arts. Her choreographic works have been presented internationally in North & South America, Europe & in Asia. She performs regularly at festivals, conferences, and for educational institutions. Amrita uses dance as a powerful tool for inter-cultural dialogue giving voice to the voiceless. Her work also highlights the socio-political and spiritual aspects of society focused on marginalized groups, human rights & women's issues. Her most well known creations related to these issues are “Sophia's Resurrection”, “The Bridges of Hope”, & “Celebrating the Human Spirit”. Her next production “Shakti Rising: Honoring Our Stories”, a collaboration between Indian and Indigenous dance & music, will be presented in 2022. Amrita holds a degree in Anthropology and has dedicated her research into Indigenous classical & folk dance traditions of India (www.amritadancecreations.com).

James Douglas - Geordie Theatre

James has been active in the local theatre scene for over 35 years. Quite a bit of time touring with Geordie’s two play tour, Acting and directing with Teesri Duniya Theatre. Was awarded the META’S “unsung Hero of Theatre” award for doing crazy things behind the scenes. Has done several shows with Theatre Quest End and was pleased as punch to be part of filing this version of their work. Keep reaching, keep creating!
